True Spirit Of Christmas...

It is already December. Christmas is near. I can already observe signs. Every time I wake up in the morning and as I prepare for school, cool breeze embraces me. Christmas –the day our savior Jesus Christ was born, a day to commemorate, a day to celebrate because it only comes once a year and a day to enjoy, be happy and have fun. It is a day of loving and sharing.
As I was sitting beside our window, I saw some children singing Christmas songs as they carol on the other house. I saw my Lola gave them money. I said to myself “ that’s the true spirit of Christmas”. It’s how we extend our help to others. It is how we commit ourselves in touching the lives of others. It is how we make other people smile and be happy. Christmas is just like an ordinary day but a meaningful one.
Christmas comes only once a year but for me every day is Christmas day. We should not just share our blessings during this day but it should be everyday. How often do you share what you have to others?
It is better to give than to receive. Lucky we are not the one begging for help.
As I will happily receive my gifts this Christmas, I’ll be thankful because I can say that there are many people loving me and I can say I’m not alone in this world. Despite of all difficulties and insecurities I’m having right now, Christmas makes me feel I am complete.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!

filipino ValUeS MoNTH

Character traits are those qualities that show what kind of a man or a awoman a person it is. A trait is true to many persons. It is a physical characteristic or a away of doing things. We the Filipinos are known for being hospitable. Many foreigners visiting the Philippines says that we are really hospitable. Bayanihan, a trait which is a part of our heritage from our ancestors. It is related to hospitality or desire to show others that we want to do something for them. We are also known for being lovable and respectful to our parents or simply called filial love. We also inherited this from our ancestors which greatly contributed to family happiness. These are just some of the Filipino traits which are slowly vanishing because of the bad influences of the environment.
Thirty days of November had passed. A month-long celebration of the Filipino-Values month. Many had happened. Our dearest adviser had already reached the peak in her teaching profession. We prepared a farewell party for her. And as we prepare for it, I was able to help mmy classmates in cleaning our room and plan for everything. We had a visitor in our house who came from the United States. We accepted them wholeheartedly, give them the best room and cooked the best foods. They told us that Filipinos are really hospitable. During this month, we also prepared ourselves for the speech choir competition. Though there were times that we misundestood each other, cooperation and dedication to win still ruled us. We also visited our dead relatives last All Saints Day as a sign of our love and respect to them.
This were just some of my little ways in strengthening Filipino values which are now forgotten by Filipinos. As a challenged to all of us, let us not forget the good traits we inherited from our dear ancestors.
LETS UNITE AND BE AS ONE FOR OUR COUNTRY,

a busy ....time of my life,,,,

You may be whatever you resolve to be. Determine to be something in the world and you will be something. "I cannot" never accomplished anything. "I will try" has wrought wonders.
I was well-impressed by this quote from J. Hawes found in the collection of best quotes. This quote served as an inspiration for me to pursue on my goals. I know during the first grading period, i have not given my very best.
Second grading has been a very busy chapter of my senior life. Everybody was very busy preparing for the Intramurals and other activities. Time really runs so fast. During this grading period, i had a hectic schedule, and i was not even able to attend some of my classes. The week long vacation due to the typhoon pepeng hindered the tentative plans.
In our TLE class, i was not able to attend everyday because we practiced for our cheerdance. Even though, i still learned many things. I was able to know more about Hypertext Mark-up Language. I also became familiar with the tags used in Web Design. We had also posted on our blogs. And now, I am starting to love blogging. I had fun in making our activities on Web Designning. I had explored more.

This grading period marks a very significant moment in my life. I experienced being a little head teacher. I was very happy doing the assigned task to me..

I am hoping that next grading period, there would be no many activities so i can attend my classes always so that my grades would not be affected.

I am also hoping that i will learn more things that i can apply in my daily life and that would influence my personality for i to become a productive and good citizen of our country.

My Teacher, My Hero

Teaching is the nobliest profession. Without teachers, there would be no doctors, nurses, architects, engineers and others. They are God's instrument in attaining our dreams for they always remind us to dream, to keep on dreaming and to make our dreams a reality.
Our teachers are our second parents. They mold us to good citizens. They serve as models to us.They influences us with good manners and right conduct. They consider us as their own sons and daugters.
We can learn many things from them. Not only the information they can give us related to our subjects but also good lessons which can contribute greatly to the realization of our dreams.
I know being a teacher is a big responsibility. The future of the young lies in their hands. We now live in a very complex society. Teen pregnancies, violence, suicides are increasing. Our society has
lost touch with what children need to mold character and competence. Today's youth need something. And what is it? They constantly need love training that corrects the heart and mind. When motivated, discipline often can be conveyed by reasoning. And our teachers are there always to lead us to good direction.
Teaching children a sense of order and respect is one great responsibility of teachers today. And we are lucky enough for they are effectively doing their responsibilities.
Techers are really Heroes. They are stepping stones for brighter future. The learnings we can get from them really feeds our mind, our heart and our soul.
KUDOS TO OUR VERY DYNAMIC TEACHERS.

THAT'S SCIENCE

“There is a field of work in which no line of work, creed, color, party or nationality is drawn – that’s science.

Science creates brotherhood among the people which is the world’s main hope for peace, unity and development. It leads to many ideas, principles and discoveries that are now of great help to all of us. How can understanding of those basic principles enhance our daily life? How does the application of these principles pave the way to development?

Gone were those days when our scientists were able to observed something, SOMETHING so important. A historical approach to the development of those discoveries was adopted to highlight the aspect of science. In some instances, evolution of concepts, principles and theories were able to add the knowledge we have.

The progressive lives we are having now are due to the discoveries long, long ago. Some of them led to useful things but some also led to harmful things. Because of advancement, communication was made possible, transportation was more comfortable and our works were made easier. But because also of advancement, our environment was already degraded. The ozone layer is becoming thinner and thinner.

Let us be aware to the reality that we haven’t used the science cultures discovered by scientists well that is why our life is not yet that well – developed.

A wake – up call for everybody. Adapt ourselves to diverse science cultures for development!!!

We are ahead of them..

We the Filipinos are ahead of the others.
This reality is undeniable because it was already proven so many times. We are so popular especially in the name of sports, literature, music and arts. And most of those who are famous nowadays already forgot their national language which is their identity. We are already going in the wrong way.
Filipino is our natoinal language. This is our identity. It is the key to the improvement and to the development of our country. But because we are more used to other languages, we are just only the followers which is so disappointing and it is unacceptable but it is the truth. If we are going to observe our present government, our officials are using the English language more often. They seldom use Filipino. Even though they wanted to impart the information which are of great help to our development, it is becoming useless because the Pilipinos dont have enough ability in arguing to their officials. And this created the big gap between the government and the people.
The Filipino language was given attention by Manuel L. Quezon, who was considered to be the "Father of the Filipino Language". There is a particular month wherein we celebrate the "Buwan ng Wika" which is August. But we should not just use Filipino during this month instead it should be everyday and the rest of our lives.
Filipino language is such a unique one.
Let us be proud of it. We should not be used to the languages of others because there might come a time that we may forget our own language. Let us be guided by the "Pilipino First Policy" proposed by Carlos Garcia.
Let us be patriotic. Let us love our own.!!!!!!!!
Be proud you are a fully blooded Pilipino.

for me..

Another year to spend in school has already started. A year that i can say full of hardships and struggles. We can never escape obstacles because they are part of our life.
TLE-ICT our computer subject. During our first quarter, we had discussed about the history of internet. We had also made our blogs and started posting on it.
During our first days in school, we were just recalling our lessons last year. But as time passes by, the lessons started to rule our minds.Sometimes, I cannot even manage my time because of the so many assignments and projects we have. It is still the first chapter of my senior life but i have already experienced some hardships.Sometimes, during discussions i am not listening but i still can catch up.I can not even watch my favorite telenobelas at night because my assignments are still my first priority.
I should not take the assignments and activiies for granted because they have something to do with my grades.
I should be more responsible and more mature this time.I am already a senior and i am getting nearer and nearer to the next ladder of education, tle college life.I will study harder so that the sacrifices of my parents will not be wasted.
I CHALLENGE YOU ALL...GOOD LUCK TO YOUR STUDIES.

SPEAK TO ME,my dear..

Mastery of the English language is very important. It determines a student's progress in all fields of learning.
There are so many advantages in being able to speak English fluently.By means of English,we may join the stream of world culture. We can be able to be globally competitive.By means of knowing how to speak English well,we are not left behind by other countries. We can be able to communicate with them properly.
Now that we are still in high school,it is very important that we must learn and know how to speak English effectively whenever we intend to enroll in great universities like University of the Philippines,University of Sto. Tomas and other big universities in the country. If you are also planning to study abroad, speaking English well is a must for you to socialize well with the people there and so that they will not laugh at you.
On the other hand,Filipino, our national language should also be spoken well.We should be proud of this because it is our identity.Though we have different dialects,we can still understand each other through Filipino or Tagalog. The Filipino language makes as one.

For us to communicate effectively, i advise you my dear,SPEAK IN ENGLISH OR FILIPINO with kindness....

GOOD LUCK.

Good Health is impossible without proper Nutrition

Whether or not you find pleasure in eating food, the fact still remains that food is a basic human need. Food, the vehicle of health and life giving nutrients may be underused, overused, misused and abused. This results in some form of sickness. Interestingly, most diseases are because of the improper nutrition.
Many cases of malnutrition in the Philippines were already reported. The main cause of this is that people do not get the proper nutrition from the food they eat. Many of us Filipinos prefer to eat junkfoods which are not good to our health. These contains chemicals made by modern industry,
Our health is our wealth. We cannot feel the essence of life if we are suffering a serious disease. Even though we have plenty of money, it is useless compared to the wealth we can acquire from having a good health.
Let us be very careful with the food we are taking in.We should consider the nutrients they contain.
GOOD NUTRITION IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT PROPER NUTRITION.
